Message ...

Life has left its footprints on my forehead, but this morning I
child again. The smile
found between leaves and flowers is back to take away wrinkles.
As the rain gets rid of all traces in the sand.
once again begins the cycle of birth and death.
walk on their toes, but without hesitation, as I would among the flowers.
I hold his head high. The rhymes
flourish among the din of bombs and mortars.
The tears I shed yesterday have become rain.
I feel calm when I listen to the sound on the roof of straw.
childhood, my homeland, I called.
And the rain melts my despair.
I'm still here alive, able to smile serene.
O sweet fruit matured from the tree of pain!
bringing the corpse of my brother,
through rice fields in the dark.
The land I'll hold you firmly in his arms, my dear, so tomorrow
reborn as flowers smiling serenely
those flowers in the morning. Now do not cry over my
dear, we crossed a night
too deep.
This morning I kneel on 'grass. In
recognize your presence.
flowers that offer wonderful smile unspeakable
speak to me in silence,
The message,
the message of love and understanding
certainly has come down to us. Thich Nhat Hanh
